Buckhorn Estates is a lovely neighborhood of fifty-seven homes, located on northwest side of Carmel, Indiana. It is popular with transferred executives as well as those from the local area. In addition to attractive landscaping, the generously-sized lots often have mature trees along the back edge of the properties, which remain from the original farmland era, while others include pond views.
The neighborhood attracts people from all walks of life, from empty-nesters to those with young children. The local Smoky Row Elementary School is only a 10-minute walk, or an even shorter trip on the school's bus. The middle school and high school bus rides range from 15 to 20 minutes. For those who like to shop, there are truly hundreds of choices within a short 10- to 15-minute drive.
Buckhorn Estates shares an outdoor, community pool with the next-door neighborhood and permits homeowners to have private pools as well. There are often various social activities throughout the year, whether its something official planned by the social committee or a spur-of-the-moment event thrown together by residents who want to spend more time with others in the neighborhood.
